ART WORK

I love the challenge of working in the applied arts, and invest my creativity gladly towards conceiving textiles which live intimately with us in our daily lives. 

So, too, do I appreciate another kind of expression, one that draws on the centuries old technique of brocade. It has been inspiring for me during the past years to create panels at the request of art curators and interior decorators to grace the walls of their client projects, or to accompany renowned contemporary art collections. 

Recently, I have begun collaborating with Maritza Reitzman, a fellow textile designer and artist, who does embroidery and “assemblage.” Together we create panels which combine our respective languages and reflect our dialogue - as if in writing, which has always seemed to me to be very close to weaving.
